To honor the connection between donors and students while protecting student privacy and dignity, Underground Music Academy follows a thoughtful sponsorship protocol.

SELECTION

UMA Scholars are selected based on commitment, musical potential, participation, and demonstrated need. Each scholar will be interviewed by our UMA team and will receive guidance and support tailored to their goals. We will guide them to the course that fits their particular skill set and goals.

PROFILE

As a donor, you have the option to choose an individual or a student based on your criteria. For example, if you'd like to sponsor someone from your hometown, we will help to locate the appropriate student from our database. With appropriate permission from the student and their guardian (when applicable), sponsors may receive a student profile that shares:

Student’s first name or approved identifier
Musical interests and goals
Instrument or area of study
Personal statement about their musical journey
Progress updates and achievements

CONNECTION & RECOGNITION

Sponsors will receive periodic updates about the impact of their support and the growth of the students they help empower. We value every contribution and recognize that each donor has their own preference for how they would like their generosity acknowledged.

With your permission, Underground Music Academy can celebrate your support by recognizing you or your organization through our community channels, including our newsletter, website, social media, donor acknowledgments, and special events. Business sponsors may also receive recognition as valued supporters of music education and youth development.
