Online Spring 2026 Scholarships
We know firsthand that being an artist in today’s climate isn’t easy. It takes persistence, belief, and a deep commitment to your craft often without clear pathways or support systems in place. That reality hasn’t changed much over time, but what has remained constant is the power of artists to shape the world around them.
Across the decades from the 70s, 80s, 90s, and into today, artists have used their voices to unite people, to inspire movements, and to create cultural shifts through music. That legacy is something we take seriously, especially here in Detroit, where sound has always been a catalyst for change.
Underground Music Academy would like to offer scholarships to 12 artists to join us and continue building their skill sets. This is an opportunity to deepen your practice, expand your understanding of the craft, and connect with a community rooted in both legacy and forward-thinking creativity.
We believe in investing in artists who are committed to growth not just for themselves, but for the impact they can have on others through their work.
This scholarship will cover full tuition for the program. YOU MUST BE 18 YEARS OR OLDER TO APPLY.
