Turn your passion for music into a thriving career with Alchemy of the DJ: The Business of DJing. In this course, you’ll define your unique DJ identity and mission. Beyond the decks, you’ll build a strong personal brand and marketing toolkit to amplify your presence, while gaining the business knowledge needed to succeed, including contracts, electronic press kits, and networking with industry professionals. Whether you’re aiming for clubs, festivals, or private events, this course equips you with the artistry, strategy, and entrepreneurial mindset to thrive as a professional DJ.

Dates and Times:
Live sessions for this course will meet online via Zoom every Tuesday at 6:00PM to 8:00PM Eastern Standard. Starting March 3rd to April 14th, 2026.
Schedules are subject to change. Changes to the schedule will be communicated to students in a timely manner by the instructor or one of UMA’s team members.
On Demand:
Registered students will have access to this course throughout its six week duration and for an additional six weeks following completion.

Basic DJ literacy: This is NOT a how to DJ course.
Beginners to professional DJs are welcome.
Passion for music and performance – an interest in DJing, events, or electronic music.
Commitment to practice and learning – ability to dedicate time to weekly exercises and course projects.

With leagues of experience operating across the Detroit and NYC scenes, Rimarkable is known for her unwavering knowledge of where electronic music comes from and where it is going. Growing up heavily influenced by Black gospel music, her selections as a DJ, producer, and broadcaster bring together a wider understanding of funk, jazz, rock, gospel, and soul that is unlike any other in the biz… And she brings the energy every single time. UMA Cancellation & Refund Policy
Enrollment & Payment
Enrollment is confirmed once payment is received. By registering for a course, workshop, or program, students agree to this cancellation and refund policy.
Course Refund Policy (Live Online Classes)
1. Partial Refund (A): A partial refund of 70% is available if the refund request is offered to those who submit a request 5 days before the course's designated start date.
2. Partial Refund (B): A partial refund of 40% is available if the refund request is initiated within 5 days after the course start date.
3. Refunds: No refunds will be issued after 5 days from the designated start date of the course.
4. Course Cancellation: If the course is canceled by the school, a pro- rated refund will be issued for classes that have not transpired.
