Join Underground Music Academy for an intimate and inspiring conversation with Detroit staple DJ Cent, led by Blackmoonchild. In this special workshop, DJ Cent opens up about her life behind the decks, her roots in Detroit soul and southern hospitality, and the journey that’s taken her from local dance floors to communities and stages across the nation.
 
Known for her upbeat house music, contagious dance energy, and genre-spanning selections—from deep, vocal, and gospel house to tech and Baltimore club—DJ Cent has spent three decades trailblazing with purpose. Beyond the music, she’ll share the wisdom she’s gathered along the way: building inclusive spaces, giving back to your community, staying authentic, and using music as a tool for connection and joy. This workshop is a chance to learn not just how to DJ, but how to move hearts, foster positivity, and leave a lasting impact long after the last track fades.
